We are now seeking a Data Engineer and Business Information Officer to join our small team, initially working on investigating new data sources and creating a data mart to support business analytics at the University.

We are looking for people who can combine strong technical skills with a love for data analysis, a proactive attitude and the ability to take the initiative. If this sounds like a good fit for you, we'd welcome your application.

As Data Engineer and Business Information Officer you can expect to get involved in:

  • supporting data acquisition
  • transforming data into useful formats for analysis
  • developing business intelligence for a range of sources
  • improving and maintaining data reliability, efficiency and quality

What we are looking for in the right candidate:

  • strong proven experience of SQL skills
  • experience of data analysis, spreadsheets and statistical software
  • the ability to build positive working relationships, understand user requirements and create user-friendly management information and business intelligence reports
  • a willingness to work flexibly and respond to rapidly changing priorities
