Location: Remote SummaryWe are seeking a quantitative professional to focus on the development, analysis, and optimization of execution strategies as a member of the Quantitative Strategies team located in the United States. You will be joining a small and high-impact team contributing to the research & development of algorithmic execution strategies across the firm's global asset management business. You will interact closely with other members of the Quantitative Strategies team located in the US, India and China that are implementing various equity mandates. You will work on improving and enhancing the firms execution capabilities and trading strategies and the software systems that support these strategies. Duties and Responsibilities Design and develop Systems including operational requirements and infrastructure setup in an Agile software development paradigmQuickly learn new technologies and produce proof of concepts, specially using AWS, Big Data and Open-Source technologiesWork on high priority production support issues, troubleshoot and formulate solutions for those issues in a time sensitive mannerDevelop processes to make Operations more manageable and robust, including code refactoring and tuning performanceAnalyze existing systems and create technical documentationQualifications & Requirements5+ years of solid hands-on software development experience, including system installation and production supportMust have strong experience in Python, SQL, AWS Redshift and PostgreSQL with focus on back-end and middle tier developmentMust have AWS EKS (Kubernetes) hands-on experienceAWS Developer Certified is strongly preferredAny knowledge of Apache Spark/EMR, Scala, Docker, Airflow, Time series databases, Data Lakes, MS SQL Server, Elastic Search/MongoDB will be pluses, but not required for the positionMust be quick to learn and implement new technology stacks as neededMust be quick to jump into issues and rapidly resolve those with minimal guidancePrior experience in financial industry/quantitative technical analysis will be a plusWorking ConditionsThis is a fully remote role until COVID-19 subsides, at which point you will have the option to continue working from home or working from our offices in New York, Boston, or Los Angeles.
