Tester/ QA Engineer/ Software Testing Quality Assurance Tester Salary - up to £50,000 dependant on experienceLocation - Nottingham (Remote working - Occasional travel to office)Job Type - Full Time, PermanentRole My client, a world class Consumer business is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join them as part of their agile delivery team, you will be collectively accountable for delivering quality software products that meet a defined business need.This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented QA Engineer to make a significant, long-lasting contribution to a high-profile business, at a key point in its development Responsibilities Working with your team members, Product Owner, and other stakeholders to ensure that user stories are 'sprint ready' (fit for development)Contributing to test planning activitiesCreating automated test assets and associated documentation that meet the requirements of the user story and observe good coding practicesPerforming manual tests and creating/obtaining test data to support the wider test strategyActively contributing to agile ceremonies, including planning, retros and sprint reviewsContributing to the team knowledge base on matters such as coding styles, practices, tooling, technology developments and software engineering methodologyCoaching members of the scrum team on how to ensure code quality throughout the development pipeline Key Skills and Experience required: Understanding of good test automation practices (tool agnostic)C# skillsUnderstanding of programming (non-language specific)API testingDatabase testingTesting of different types of applications, different platforms etc.Front- and back-end testingCreation and maintenance of automated test suites Non-Technical SkillsBug replication Desirable skills: = Formal qualifications such as BSc in Computer Science (or related discipline) Please apply ASAP to be consideredModis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
