Senior Infrastructure DevOps EngineerReporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the Senior DevOps Engineer is a pragmatic and self-motivated individual who can both work on their own initiative and function well within a team.The role will be expected to be able to give design recommendations and improve and maintain current Infrastructure and the current platform codebase.

Responsibilities

Maintain, develop, review IaC based on Ansible and TerraformWork with Kubernetes deploymentsWork with Docker and microservice based container builds and Ci/CdResearch new technologies and give platform design recommendations

Work with AWS and Nutanix virtualisation platforms Essential skillsExcellent spoken and written EnglishExperience of working with Docker, building and deploying imagesExtensive knowledge of Ansible and Terrraform coding principles and practiceImplementing new AWS platform features via Terraform modulesKubernetes service build, deployment and platform maintenanceLinux CLI, Shell scripting, general knowledge about Linux kernelsWorking with Nexus and GitLab (GIT) and reviewing code changes

Preferable skills

Nutanix Cloud InfrastructureExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, Grafana Loki, ElasticSearch stackMicro-service architecture, Packer, AutomationAWS VPC, EC2,FarGate, EKS/ECS and general familiarity with AWS cloud servicesMySQL DBA, AWS RDS & AuroraFamiliar with Scrum and Agile work ethics

Experience

Must come with at least 4 years solid experience of working with designing and maintaining Infrastructure platforms based on technologies in use.
