We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Technical Team Leader to play an active role within an award-winning MSP. They provide completely managed services to small and medium-sized businesses, as well as part-managed and cloud consultancy services to bigger businesses with established IT teams.The Technical Team Leader will serve as the Service Desk's final point of contact and a source of experience and technical expertise. The role will be focused on technical ticket resolution, as well as the development of technical processes and procedures to improve overall service responsiveness and efficiency.Role & Responsibilities:Giving service desk staff advice on ticket resolution.Formalizing and expanding BAU service desk functionality through process and procedure.Ensuring that technical processes and procedures are followed when resolving tickets.Technical Engineers in the second line are escalated.Third-line tickets resolution.When necessary, perform service desk duties.Providing feedback on all technical aspects of the service desk to the reporting manager.Skills required:A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an IT environment.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a support/technical escalation role.Mentoring junior members of the team and facilitating their technical developmentTechnology familiarity:MS Windows Server: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy & Certificate Services.Citrix: Virtual Desktop and Apps, XenApp/Desktop, Netscaler.VMWare: ESX 6.7 Hosts, iSCSI Storage connectivity, Virtual Machines.MS Office 365 Admin: Exchange Admin, AAD, SharePoint Admin.Would be nice to have:MS SQL Server: DB Troubleshooting, Backup and Restore.Backup and Restore: Veeam, Zerto, Volume Shadow Copies.Storage: File Servers, Shares, NTFS Permissions.To apply for this role, please send an up to date CV to [email protected] or call 0191 731 5282 for a confidential chat.Nigel Frank are the go-to recruiter for Azure, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform roles in the UK, offering more opportunities across the country than any other.
