Bring our five-year strategic IT plan to life. And enjoy the challenge of a lifetime.

We support hybrid working.

The Insolvency Service is a leading Government agency that plays a crucial role in maintaining business confidence to power economic growth. Our 1,700 people across 22 offices support companies and citizens in financial distress, maximise returns to creditors and investigate any commercial misconduct, whilst safeguarding the interests of redundant employees. You can join us in our mission and enjoy a fast-moving career with exceptional rewards.

Our Application Services team is responsible for developing and maintaining a diverse range of business applications and harnessing cutting-edge technology to streamline our services and processes. You can make a measurable difference as you strengthen our project delivery capability - joining a small, closely-knit team working on some big initiatives. Taking ownership of key workstreams within our Corporate Centre or Digital Technology Change Team, you will bring our five-year IT strategic plan to life as you control people, finances, operations and technologies to make things happen. You can expect plenty of support and ongoing CPD as you assess planned changes to deliver technical responses, build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and enjoy varied and complex challenges in an environment where no two days are the same.

This is the opportunity you've been waiting for your entire career - the chance to put your APM PMQ or PRINCE2 certification (or equivalent experience) to the test in an exciting and enriching setting. It goes without saying that you'll bring extensive experience of the full product lifecycle and considerable commercial acumen backed by total focus on the bottom line. Even more importantly, you'll have the confidence to take calculated risks and the gravitas to make far-reaching decisions that will influence our approach to IT for years to come.

In return, you can expect outstanding conditions of employment, including flexible working arrangements, 25 days' holiday (increasing to 30 days after five years), additional paid leave for learning, development and volunteering, a season ticket loan, generous parental leave, an employee assistance programme, a season ticket loan and membership of the Civil Service pension scheme.
