The company also constructs bespoke new houses for private clients, both contemporary and traditional in style.The Role/Purpose:Working in a brand new, state of the art, purpose built joinery facility, the overall expectation of the role is to provide fully resolved and detailed constructional CAD drawings for client approval and workshop manufacture to deliver bespoke pieces for high-end residential projects.The role will require you to interpret clients' conceptual drawings and develop them for client sign-off. You will be expected to work alongside and co-ordinate third-party design aspects to ensure full integration within the joinery project. This may including mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, appliances and stone work.You will take the lead role in controlling the drawings you produce from concept through to construction, ensuring they are consistent, accurate, current, effectively communicated and meet the demands of the project.Key Responsibilities:To work alongside Saint John project teams, Cabinetmakers and sub-contractors producing fully resolved CAD drawings.To develop and present design concepts using 2D and 3D drawing packages.To ensure the efficient administration and retention of project documentation.To ensure designs, materials and finishes are appropriate, achievable and fit for purpose and to identify any potential risks.To carry out site surveys ensuring all joinery fits within the space and consideration is given to access, finished build ups and M&E integration.To assist in the management, manufacture and distribution of material and finishes samples.To manage suppliers, sub-contractors and the wider supply chain and ensure lead times and quality expectations are met.To ensure designs are in line with tender allowances and specifications, to ensure budgeted costs and labour allowances are understood and to identify and risks to these.To manage the preparation and handover of design packages for manufacture.The Person and Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behaviours:To be highly proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat, Autodesk Auto CAD and inventor, Sketch up and Microsoft Word and Excel.To be able to demonstrate an in-depth and wide-ranging knowledge of cabinet making / furniture making construction techniques.To possess strong written and verbal communication skills.To have a strong understanding of and attention to technical detailing.To be able to hand sketch to communicate initial design ideas.To have extensive knowledge of materials, hardware, fittings and finishes.To be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the integration of metal work, AV systems, M7E and appliances.To be able to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the high-end residential market.To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.To be able to demonstrate a commitment to good practice and to pro-actively develop your own skills and knowledge.To be well organised with proven planning and time management skills.What We Offer:22 days holiday plus bank holidays.Workplace Pension.5 days Company Sick Pay.Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; CAD Technician, CAD, CAD Estimator, CAD Security, CAD, Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Design, AutoCAD, 2D CAD, CAD Operator, CAD Designer, CAD Design, Corel Draw will also be considered for this role.
