THE OPPORTUNITY

This role is based within the Assisted & Automated Driving Team in the Electrical Engineering department focussing on the System Integration and System Testing for all Assisted & Automated Driving Systems (ADAS & AD) utilizing XIL (Anything In the Loop) methods and test environments.

Within this role you will be involved in delivering stat-of-the-art (virtual & real) engineering tools, lead the XIL Test Environments Development, Delivery and XIL Test Execution with cross-functional teams to produce test evidence for Engineering Sign-off of all Assisted & Automated Driving Features.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The role is to execute XIL based test and lead the technical team for XIL Testing and sign-off for all AAD systems onto vehicle platforms, you will be responsible for:
Management of XIL test environment for Assisted & Automated Driving
Creating Plans for all XIL test request from AAD system test co-ordinator.
Leading the XIL execution team and supports their skills development.
Supporting the rig planning, test booking, execution, and ECU product defect debug to leverage the max efficiency of the XIL software validation
Management of all ADAS issues from external customers and performing initial Level zero triage.
Management of Test reports and data evidence storage to demonstrate robust feature sign-off and compilation of test reports for system and sub-system sign-off.
Lead continuous improvement activity with the goal of improving test efficiency and/or product quality

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We're looking for XIL Lead Engineer with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, who will build and implement the team's strategy to lead the XIL Test Environments Development, Delivery and XIL Test Execution with cross-functional teams to produce test evidence for Engineering Sign-off of all Assisted & Automated Driving Features.

Essential:
* Strong technical expertise in Python or C/C++
* Good understanding of vehicle architecture and vehicle network knowledge such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, BroadRReach
* Experience of using XIL tools such as CANape /Vehicle Spy/ INCA/Simulink/IPG CarMaker/CANalyser/CANoe/TestStand/VeriStand/LabVIEW/ dSPACE tool chain.
* Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and understanding of ISO standard (ISO 14229-1) of vehicle Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) protocol,
* Proven project management skills to enable HIL rig planning and efficient delivery
* Technical and practical knowledge of integrating components into vehicles
* Previous experience in leading and developing the teams

Desirable:
* Experience with AGILE frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban or SAFE) and planning tools such as JIRA and Confluence
* Six Sigma, Black Belt and Green Belt Training and certification.
* Conflict management experience
* Understanding of software/product life cycle is desirable.
* ISTQB certification is preferable.
* Knowledge of processing tools such as Gitlab, SVN are preferred
