Java Developer London / WfH to £80k

Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Java Linux TCP/IP) *Remote / Hybrid WfH*. Would you like to gain valuable knowledge of financial trading systems?

You could be progressing your career as a Java Developer as part of a small collaborative team of finance technologists discussing ideas, pair programming and continually learning on complex real-time systems at a tech driven e-trading company.

As a Java Developer you will help improve and scale a low latency, high throughput messaging system, designed for e-trading within the Fixed Income markets which handles around 20 thousand events per second. The systems are complex and challenging, you'll be continually learning and supported within an Agile team environment.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home with only the occasional (once a month) visit to the London office for team meet-ups.

Requirements:

You have core Java development experience including multi-threading

You have a good knowledge of Linux OS; TCP, UDP, Ethernet, HTTP and understand the concept of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

You're collaborative with Agile team experience including Pair Programming and TDD

Ideally you will have some experience of working on low latency, high throughput systems (doesn't have to be within a finance environment e.g. games, telcos)

As a Java Developer you can expect to earn a highly competitive salary (to £80k) plus bonus and benefits including 25 days holiday and potential equity.
