What's the first word which spring to mind when you think of work? Is it 'enjoyable'?

If not, it may be time for a change. Here is an opportunity for you to work as an Electrical Controls Engineer in a team where the engineers genuinely describe their working day as 'enjoyable'.

You'll be in an environment where your career aspirations can be supported. They will develop you in your technical knowledge and ability, and help develop your career in whichever direction your aspirations lie.

Working alongside people who are still passionate about the technology even after 30 years in the business, you'll have a clear chance to learn within this enthusiastic and open environment.

Here you will be within a very stable, secure business who are growing at balanced rate. This is a professional well-organised environment which has developed an incredibly positive and collaborative team culture.

They have 55 people at their site in North-East Somerset with another 120 employees at sites across the UK. Being part of a larger group of companies has given them the backing to provide you with excellent systems to work with.

However they are still run with the dynamism of a small business, with all decision-making taking place locally, with no need for corporate red tape. So your suggestions and ideas can be listened to and acted upon.

You'll be working on projects covering a wide variety of complex packaging machinery for the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Customers range from blue-chips like Nestle and Unilever down to start-ups making a new vegan burger.

Thanks to the labour shortages in the food industry, more companies than ever before are investing in automation. So you'll get to tackle a broad range of technical challenges.

You'll need prior experience programming Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLCs (RSLogix)and some ability or openness to create electrical drawings too. The role can somewhat be tailored to your strengths, but this isn't a job for a fresh graduate.

Technical areas which you'll be able to develop further experience in here include HMI development, servo motion, robot programming, Siemens PLCs, AutoCAD Electrical and CE Marking.

You'll have a dynamic workload; one minute you could be supporting getting a machine into production, next minute handling a customer's technical query, then getting your head down to do some programming.

The site has easy parking and good bus links, open plan offices and generally an earlier finish on a Friday, so a comfortable feel. You're 2 minutes walk away from a Waitrose or a KFC & Dominos so your lunch options can be at either extreme.

For a 37hr week you'll be paid between £40,000 - £50,000 plus paid overtime. If any or all of this sounds intriguing then please reply for more information.

Don't worry if you haven't updated your CV, just reach out and we'll see if this move would be right for you.
