We are searching for a Lead Data Engineer in Oslo!Your work will help to digitalise the education industry, impacting everyone from school children locally in Norway, to University students around the globeThe company provide products which help children learn to code and take their first steps into formal education, to solutions which allow assessments to be submitted instantly from anywhere in the world - you will play a key role in transforming education through technologyYou will be joining a small but established data environment, where you will take leadership of fellow data engineers and report into a Head of DataSome of your responsibilities will include:Leading the data engineering team from a technical point of view, and offer support & guidance to membersWorking closely with a team of data scientists and engineers to develop data pipelines for learning toolsDesigning, developing, and implementing the architecture and data pipeline for ML in productionWe are looking for you to bring:Education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related quantitative field3+ years of experience in data engineeringProfessional experience with developing in PythonExperienced with SQL and relational databasesExperience with AWS, in particular S3, SQS, LambdaFamiliar with Elasticsearch, Apache Spark and/or Apache HiveWhat's in it for you?You will join a professional workplace based on collaboration, creativity, and tenacity!You will work alongside some of the brightest engineering and analytical minds in Norway, and mentor some of the most promising up-and-coming talent in the teamThere are opportunities for personal and professional development, you can can certifications, attend courses & conferences, or even suggest your own ad-hoc training and workshops!
