Director of Data Governance

£120,000 per annum



We are recruiting for a Director of Data Governance for a market leading Insurance business. As the Director of Data Governance you will be supporting the business in defining and implementing a Data Governance Framework and driving standardisation, efficiency and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

* Building a robust Data Governance Framework.
* Establish and embed Data Governance processes.
* Providing guidance across the business on data validation, business impact of poor data quality, data transformation, data quality assessment and data process documentation.
* Establishing data quality projects and initiatives which deliver tangible data quality improvement.
* Setting up and lead appropriate forums to establish, monitor and develop a Data Governance Framework.
* Develop training and documentation to support the business in implementing and embracing the new Data Governance Framework.

You will have:

* Experience in designing and developing a Data Governance Framework
* Experience managing change and embedding new Data Governance processes and standards
* An understanding of the different types of data and the management needs of master, reference and transactional data
* Knowledge of Data Management tools related to data quality and data management
* Strong stakeholder management skills
