When it comes to overseeing and ensuring the smooth supply of a portfolio of IT projects, your strong customer focus means you always deliver on time and budget. And that's not all. You're calm under pressure, capable of working with a wide range of senior stakeholders, and ready to manage risk while providing assurance.

If this sounds like you, then FCDO Services could be your next step. As a trusted government partner, we protect the UK's interests around the world. We design and construct secure government buildings. We help earthquake-proof embassies. We courier diplomatic packages across continents. We keep complex projects on track, and on budget. We store visa applications safely in the Cloud. And a whole lot more besides.

Take responsibility for a range of secure IT projects that help to protect the UK

We offer specialised IT software and application hosting to a number of different customers. These range from the Home Office to the Ministry of Defence, and from the FDCO to private sector clients. When you join us, you'll implement a number of new systems and services as you take responsibility for delivering your projects, and use all your project management, IT and strategic planning skills as you ensure they meet with corporate, policy and legislative standards. Acting as an escalation point for the project managers you'll be supporting and coaching, this is a role where your experience of managing delivery through the full product lifecycle will be put to good use.

Use your expertise to identify and implement more effective ways of working

Maintaining and implementing a capability map and identifying ways in which we can improve the effectiveness of our Business Assurance services, you'll manage, schedule and execute governance checkpoints, and monitor and assure any changes to the project plans. You'll see the big picture, act as a motivating and inspirational colleague and coach, and deliver confidently at pace. In-depth knowledge of Agile and other methodologies is essential, as is experience of using Project Management products such as MSP, M_o_R and M_o_V.

Take the next step as you develop your career

When you join us, you'll be helping to protect the nation's interests at home and overseas - but how will we help you in return? As well as a competitive salary, holiday entitlement and Civil Service pension, we'll also support your development with internal training as you advance your career. In short, it's your job, bigger.

You'll be based at Hanslope Park near Milton Keynes, and all our employees have to be security cleared before being appointed, so you'll need to undergo Developing Vetting (DV) clearance as part of your application. You can find out more about vetting on our website

Closing date: 19th June 2022
