Service Designer - UX

Remote / UK Wide, base location flexible

We are currently looking for a Service Designer (UX / User Experience) to join a leading, innovative and prestigious organisation within the the growing Digital team. The role will be predominately remote with occasional office based work / client visits when required.

This role is dynamic and hands-on. Working with public public and private sector organisations, you will be expected to support client's delivery through user-centred design methods: translate user needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities into world-class services for well known, leading companies and government organisations.

You will need to be comfortable facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders, managing and undertaking research with users and express your ideas and insights using personas, prototypes, user journeys and service blueprints.

Key Skills

* Experience within a Service Designer role or similar UX / researcher type role with an understanding of service design

* Experience of evaluating existing services in terms of usefulness, usability, content and accessibility

* Knowledge and experience in user research methods.

* Ability to work with clients to understand their needs, communicate how our team can help them and design a solution to realise their ambition

* User-centred design methods and techniques

* Government agency experience / delivering within the Government Service Standard and managing GDS assessments is ideal but not an essential requirement

* Experience in working within an Agile environment

* Design-related or HCI/Usability/Cognitive Psychology discipline degree or equivalent ideal
