Job Summary
The role of a IT Project Manager is to facilitate change management to the OfS by delivering IT projects to achieve the objectives of a newly defined Digital Strategy. The post holder will be expected to project manage a range of projects of varying sizes and complexity using the agile methodology
Job Description
The aim of the role IT Project Manager is to facilitate change management at the OfS and deliver IT projects against timelines to support the delivery of the Digital Strategy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the whole lifecycle of IT Projects
Planning and scheduling project timelines
Resource planning and allocation
Managing project admin and associated documentation
Meeting budgetary objectives
Managing stakeholder relationships
Delivering IT projects in a timely manner
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
Perform project risk management
The key person attributes required to fulfil this role include: the ability to deliver projects against timeline; the ability to manage stakeholders and technical team; a broad understanding of key enabling technologies; the ability to communicate effectively and accurately; the ability to present and communicate with senior management; Strong analytical and numeric skills; excellent attention to detail; be organised and able to identify and prioritise work, a self-motivated team player.

The IT project manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects within a programme of work to support OfS processes.
You will:
Be skilled in project management methodologies, e.g., Scrum, Agile PM, Prince 2. Take a consistent and ongoing approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, risk management, contingency planning, and road mapping.
Be experienced and or qualified in Agile project management and/or Prince 2
Have broad knowledge of core OfS IT technologies, preferably including:
Microsoft Azure, O365/Office, SharePoint, Teams
Microsoft Dynamics and workflow management
Have an understanding of cloud (‘X'AAS) service models
Have an understanding of IT security models and methodologies
Have an understanding of IT networking and infrastructure principals
Know how to communicate effectively across organisational, and technical boundaries, understanding the context. You can advocate and communicate what a project team does to create trust and authenticity.
Be able to communicate with stakeholders clearly and regularly, clarifying mutual needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of impacts whilst focusing on user needs. For example, managing customer and supplier relationships, ensuring that recommendations deliver maximum benefit and facilitating workshops with stakeholders.
Know how to build successful delivery teams. You can ensure that the team works in a transparent way and that the work is understood externally. You can create an open and collaborative working environment; You can maintain delivery momentum. You can maintain the cadence of delivery and manage the relationships between different people within and across teams. You can solve issues and unblock problems. You know how to drive team and set the pace, ensuring teams are working towards delivery commitments. You can engage in elements of risk management such as effectively managing and tracking the mitigation of risks, escalating as needed.
Focus on the outcome. You understand that all steps in a process must add value.

Working arrangements
The OfS is trialling a hybrid model of working, a mixture of office and remote working., Staff can work up to 60% of their hours remotely, and 40% in the office, as well as some flexibility in core contact hours. We will provide the equipment and support to ensure that you can do that safely and securely.
