IT Support Administrator

We are assisting in the recruitment of a contract IT Support Administrator to support a user base of 380 across a number of UK sites. Our client is looking for someone who is confident in providing outstanding IT support to their user base and high quality management of the IT systems.

Remote working will be possible, but there is an expectation to visit sites as needed. Locations include Surbiton, High Wycombe & Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

*Provide support to the organisation's users and support the work of the Head of IT

*Support the IT infrastructure ensuring it meets current and future requirements

*Ensuring the continual availability, reliability and performance of core applications

*Perform routine checks on critical services and infrastructure

*Ensuring backups are carried and testing disaster recovery plans are in place

*Meeting security and compliance standards are met

*Purchasing equipment, maintaining asset lists and carrying out equipment audits

*Ensuring systems are kept up to date with firmware, patches and security updates

*Preparing and issuing IT and telephony equipment to users

*Ensuring IT policies and procedures are documented and kept up to date

*Evaluating and implementing new technologies and system enhancements.

Skills:

*Good understanding of on-prem data communications equipment (firewalls, routers, switches, etc)

*LAN, VPN, and VLANs

*MS Windows Server

*MS SQL Server

*Office 365

*Active Directory

*Cisco
