Lead Software Developer / Engineering Manager London to £100k

Lead Software Developer / Engineering Manager (Java SpringBoot Microservices Cloud). Looking to take the next step in your career and move into a hands-off Software Development Manager role? You will play a vital role in building key relationships between teams and will build and drive forward a tech community across a well-known PropTech company.

Hugely successful tech company that have revolutionised the way people find properties is seeking a Lead Software Developer / Engineering Manager with strong a Java programming skills to join their team. This is mostly a hands-off role (around 10 - 20% hands-on development) where you'll manage a team of 5 - 6 people within the Data Services Team. You'll be coaching and developing your team, conducting performing reviews, assessing training, and developing needs and encouraging continuous improvement whilst work closely with other Software Development Managers to identify and resolve issues.

You'll be able to work remotely 2 days a week in this role.

Requirements:

Strong Java programming and Spring skills and champion of scalability, resilience and security

Experience leading cross functional teams and ability to establish great coding standards and encourage those around you to do the same

Excellent communication and collaboration skills as you'll be communicating with all levels across the business

Passionate about improving people and processes

Desirable: Cloud (GCP)
