Are you a readily available freelance Quantity Surveyor, currently looking to make an immediate start on their next office-based role?

My client, an well-established Marine and Civil engineering company, is currently recruiting for a freelance Quantity Surveyor to come and hit the ground running to help with the final accounts on a recent project. My client is looking to offer an extension, or even a permanent placement, to the successful candidate who takes on the role.

The role itself will involve reviewing all new contracts, raising issues internally as well as with the client, negotiating terms, offering commercial support, attending team and progress meetings, review payment schedules, tendering for new work and maintaining records. The client is open to offering the candidate 5-day weeks should they ask for them, however their preference at this current time is to offer 3 day weeks.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor (HNC/BSc etc), with prior experience surveying on construction sites. They must be IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft office. The client is looking for a communicative and reliable surveyor who is prepared to occasionally work away and possesses a driver's license.

This is a great opportunity for a freelance Quantity Surveyor based around South Wales to come into a fantastic company for a short-term contract which is likely to be extended should the placement go well.
