My client are looking for an Oracle developer to work within an established team of designers and developers who work with Oracle databases and Apex. Due to expansion and internal promotions we're looking for an additional developer to work in the Sheffield offices. There are progression opportunities for the right candidates, evidence of this being that this role is a replacement for someone who has just been promoted. The Role This role involves the following duties & responsibilities: Develop Oracle PL/SQL procedures and other Oracle database development objects.

· Requirement gathering to determine business needs and designing applications accordingly.

· Undertaking the analysis, design, and development and testing core systems within Oracle Forms and Reports, and APEX

· Involved at various levels of Projects from inception to completion and post-live support.

· Ensure applications are operationally sound

· Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardising applications

· Experience designing database schemas that are fit for purpose

· Experience developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans

· An ability to communicate with the wider business including management and users

Relevant Skills in order of preference:

· Oracle PL/SQL

· Forms and Reports

· APEX

Please note: candidates do not need to have all of the above experience.

The role will be based near Sheffield (free parking) within an established team and presents an opportunity for an experienced and qualified engineer who is looking to join a stable and expanding organisation.
