What - IT Infrastructure Engineer

Where - Based in Bristol, our client will offer a remote or hybrid model of working from home and within the office

This semi-conductor company develop chips for modems, cameras and drones, in addition to top of the range processors being well suited for machine learning and neural networks. 

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will be broad and include:

  • Linux Server Administration (Debian, RHEL)
  • MS Windows (11, server 2022)
  • Applications administration (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins..)
  • Design/Configuration/Development and documentation of the infrastructure architecture
  • End-User support for employees worldwide
  • Security rules definition, application and enforcement
Technologies and Key Knowledge
  • Virtualisation - oVirt (but any virtualisation is a great start)
  • Containers orchestration - k8s
  • Configuration Management (Ansible)
  • Networking (L2, L3 switches, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Active Directory
  • AWS, Alibaba
  • Hardware (HP, Dell)
Needed:
  • Experience within a similar position
  • Knowledge of technologies outlined above
  • Motivation to develop professionally
