They provide award-winning personal, commercial and specialty insurance products and services direct-to-customers, via brokers and affinity partners.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Technical Project Manager for a 6 Month contract based remotely.Purpose of the Role:Last year, Our client migrated their mainframes to IBM so that they can enter the cloud (ZCloud) The Project manager they need would ideally have IBM mainframe experience covering these 5 components:ZosCICSIMSMQDB2 The upgrades to the mainframes will be completed using these components.They are committed to completing the upgrades and they might be over weekends, evenings sometimes 3 - 4 hours and sometimes up to 16 hours.As a Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for:To ensure that all suppliers adhere to the companies governance and reporting proceduresUtilise key control documents (RAIDs, status reports, action trackers etc) to keep accurate status of the technical delivery ensuring it meets the qualifying criteria to enter the zCloudTo organise, attend and chair critical meetings with suppliers, internal stakeholders and core team members, leading all parties to operate in a coordinated harmonious manner towards deliveryTo integrate with other work stream leads identifying and managing technical inter dependenciesHave a positive can do attitude, being personally accountable for delivery, taking ownership to drive through tasks maintaining a high quality levelTo be concise and clear in all communications, getting to the root of the problem and presenting findings honesty and accuratelyTo be diplomatic with confrontational parties, and be able to demonstrate creative initiative to overcome obstaclesThis is a mentally intensive role, requiring the candidate to remain balanced and calm in all responses.
