WHAT TO EXPECT

This role is for a Software Architect within the Software Group in Assisted and Automated Driving. It is critical for delivering AAD software technologies across multiple, present, and future software projects.
As the Software Architect you will be delivering agile software architecture specifications that balance intentional architecture with emergent design.
In this role you will be delivering a fully compatible system/component with all other aspects of the ecosystem, and making Reuse versus Make versus Buy Technology decision-making documentation. Additionally, you will also be delivering specifications to encompass the integration of supplier deliverables alongside in-house software development.
You will be delivering quality and safety standards compliant software architecture specifications and software function interaction, architecture and decomposition into the target ECU.
In addition to this, you will also be responsible for supervising component integration into the vehicle and for the harmonisation and arbitration of the XCL functional service and interaction between them.

WHAT YOULL NEED
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

You will need significant software architecture experience of working with commodity and product delivery and related technologies. Significant systems architecture and associated technologies experience is also essential.

You will need significant experience of Software Development Life Cycle and associated processes and be able to demonstrate a proven track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance is also essential.

Desirable:
* Multiple software language skills (C, C+, Python, Java, etc)
* Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
* Experience with software architecture tools
