This is a national vacancy, the successful candidate may be based at any of our main centres in the UK, final location to be agreed at interview.

You will principally be responsible for the creation, development, implementation and maintenance of internal NHSBT information systems and datamarts/data warehouses, which provide access to information throughout the NHSBT. NHSBT are currently about to undertake a programme of work entitled "NHSBT Data Insights" which will endeavour to Extract, Transform and Load data from a variety of systems into Azure Data Lake using Azure Data Factory. A Bronze, Silver, Gold approach to data cleansing and aggregation will then render data both query and Power BI ready.

You will develop and maintain bespoke decision support, reporting and performance measurement solutions for use in the NHSBT. You will also be responsible for the management of a team of Information Managers, including appraisal, recruitment, and performance review. You will assist the Head of Data Engineering and Data Management in formulating the NHSBT strategy for information management. You will also work closely with data leads throughout the organisation, including the Data Platform Product Manager, and the Data Architects.

You will have extensive experience of Business Intelligence Systems development using the Microsoft BI product stack. You will have deep knowledge and experience of datamart and data warehouse design, creation and administration. You'll have experience of both SQL Server and Oracle databases, and good knowledge of database modelling theory.

You'll need to be able to work flexibly and be able to cope with a busy and complex workload.
