We are looking for experienced Solutions Consultant/ Architect, with trustworthy knowledge in core technology fields including SD-WAN, SASE, Cellular (4G & 5G) and Managed LAN & Wi-Fi portfolios. Utilising this knowledge to actively support the Sales function on solutions.
for more senior candidates, we are seeking an individual that effortlessly displays the gravitas and experience to undertake the more complex solutions. Having business awareness around consultative solutions and service selling, this individual will be on the front line of what could be further milestones for the organisation.
Overall purpose of the job:
Client is in the market for a Solution Consultant who can support the Sales Account Managers on the network solution designs. The candidate would be expected to have a sound knowledge in Telecoms/Solution designs and be able to provide:
Provide "pre-sales" Solutions support internally and externally to account managers working on network, voice, or cloud projects.
Work as a team player to assist in the smooth running of the Solutions department
Closely interact with the engineering department during the design stage of new solutions
Key responsibilities for this job:
To engage with Sales Account Managers from the early stage of the opportunity cycle
Technically qualify new opportunities in conjunction with the commercial qualification
To attend customer meetings with Sales Account Managers
To participate in customer conference calls when required
The ability to design and develop innovative and competitive solutions, working individually or leading a wider virtual team for the qualified opportunity
Support the Sales Account Manager with the commercials of the opportunity
Work very closely with the Client Bid Team and Account Managers to respond to tenders (RFI/RFP)
To act as a central point of contact and provide technical support within existing accounts
Create a close working relationship with the engineering department in order to validate proposed designs and solutions
Any other fair and reasonable task or duty assigned to you by your Manager, or other senior Client Ltd staff member
Knowledge and experience required:
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
IT / Telecoms experience
Ability to talk confidently about technical solutions
​Proven technical design skills and the ability to create design documentation Excellent presentation skills - the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Good commercial acumen Proven technical design skills and the ability to create design documentation
Knowledge of VPLS, MPLS, IP Networking, Routing Protocols, BGP, VRRP, IGRP
Knowledge of SDN and SD-WAN Solutions
Knowledge of LAN (wired and wireless) environments
A minimum of one additional discipline listed below:
Experience in designing secure Internet solutions (UTM firewalls. SIEM)
Familiarity with Private & Public Cloud architecture would be advantageous
Previous hands-on technical experience is desirable
Must have:
· Good commercial acumen proven technical design skills and the ability to create design documentation - Excellent presentation skills - the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience - Proven experience handling solutions for different verticals More advanced/ senior candidates must have: - Significant experience in a pre-sales environment with the ability to talk confidently about technical solutions - Advanced knowledge SDN.
