CLOUD OPERATIONS ENGINEER ROLES OF ALL LEVELSEntry Level:Skills, know-how and experience: · Operating Systems: Windows, Linux &/or MacOS.

· Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

· Some scripting knowledge for task automation (PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Python).

· Experience dealing with multiple teams, multitasking & prioritisation skills.

· Familiarity with SDLC functional disciplines: QA, Development, design, etc

· Proficiency in English language with ability to build relationships and influence.

Preferred:

· Min 1-3 yrs. experience working in a Technical Support Role up to L3. With exposure to server Operating Systems, IT Sysadmin and/or Database Systems.

· Some exposure to cloud technologies.Technical / professional qualifications:

· It is preferable, but not essential, that the post holder be educated to degree level in a relevant subject OR has deep knowledge in area of expertise.Junior Level:Skills, know-how and experience: Excellent communicator - able to articulate complex technical issues in simple terms when communicating with non-technical audience or business stakeholders Operating Systems: Windows, Linux &/or MacOS. Proficiency in English language, verbal and written with ability to build relationships and influence Exposure to Devops/SRE activities like - software/system engineering and toil reduction Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD processes Experience with applications deployed in either AWS or Azure that are using distributed computing, containers, Kubernetes and/or serverless technologies. (Kubernetes experience preferred) Technical leadership ability, influencing and interpersonal skills Proven ability in task automation, increasing efficiencies, costs savings and service reliability improvements Proven experience working with SDLC functional disciplines: QA, Development, design, etc. Previous experience working with Agile methodologies Proficiency in English language, verbal and written, with ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation including senior stakeholder management Preferred: 5-10 years working in a Sysadmin, DevOps, SRE, IT Operations, Developer, or QA/Application Engineer or Similar Role, in a customer facing, complex technical environment Min 3 yrs. Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.) Technical / professional qualifications: It is preferable, but not essential, that the post holder be educated to degree level in a relevant subject OR has deep knowledge in area of expertise And/or Associate, and/or Professional level certifications in Cloud Technologies Team Lead Level:Skills, know-how and experience: Must have: We always looking at new technologies, to give customers an even better experience. There is an expectation that you will have strong experience with most of the following technologies: * Operating Systems: Windows and/or Linux

* Cloud Providers: Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services or similar

* Cloud Technologies:

* Serverless: AWS Lambda, Azure Functions

* Container Platforms: Docker, Mesosphere, Kubernetes

* Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, ARM templates, Terraform

* Automation and Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Python, Go

* Build/Release Tools: Git, Jenkins, VSTS, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, XL Release

* Databases: MongoDB, MSSQL, Azure SQL DB, AWS: RDS, MySQL, DynamoDB

* Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, PowerShell DSC

* Online Web/Cloud based technologies: Apache, IIS, Nginx plus Tomcat, Java, Passenger, Rails, Node.js This role also requires:

* Extensive experience working in a DevOps environment, leading by example to influence peers and stakeholders to adopt the same approach.

* Excellent customer focus and understanding how their actions directly impact the experience our customers receive

* Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization including senior stakeholder management.

* Experience working with Commercial and Product teams

* Excellent Communication, Presentation, Influencing and Interpersonal Skills

* Proven experience working with SDLC functional disciplines: QA, Development, design, etc.

* Proven experience working with ITIL; Change Control, Incident Management, Configuration Management

* Previous experience working with Agile methodologies.

* Proficiency in English language, verbal and written with ability to build relationships and influence

* Experience with large scale online Products, services and security.

* Broad experience in topics related to the responsibilities of the Operations department.

* You need to have strong technical background, understanding and experience with the DevOps model and the ability to learn quickly.

* Decision-making skills, conflict resolution.

* Ability to analyse, assess and make informed technical decisions quickly.

* Experience of developing SLA's, tracking and reporting performance.

Preferred:

* Solid people management experience to inspire and grow a team of talented DevOps engineers.

* Excellent experience in cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Force.com an advantage)

* Previous experience leading DevOps teams

* Extensive experience working in a customer focused, complex technical environment.

* Experience with budgets and commercials

* Min 5 yrs Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure, Rackspace, Salesforce, Google Cloud)
