The opportunity - Overview
As a Salesforce Solutions Architect, you'll have a solid understanding of and will act as the internal consultant for the Salesforce platform and it's capabilities. You should be able to identify the optimal solution for a business requirement , recommend a technical solution and communicate any design trade-offs whilst following Salesforce best practices; You will recommend implementations that adds value and is both scalable and sustainable.
You will own the design of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Marketing Cloud and will adopt a strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy. Additionally you will participate in analysis of business requirements and system enhancements, provide detailed level of estimates for proposed solutions and be able to articulate benefits or limitations of the system capabilities.
More importantly, you will supervise a team of developers in the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce whilst advocating the adoption of software engineering best practice.

What we're looking for
Salesforce Certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I, Sales Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder)
Development experience in Salesforce Cloud - (e.g. Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Experience - Aura & Lightning Web Components (LWC) , Flows, Process Builders, Salesforce APIs, custom objects and fields, validation rules, workflows etc)
Awareness of platform-specific design considerations such as large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration
Ability to demonstrate concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence
Knowledge of software design principles
You can give examples of what you consider to be good practices in Salesforce development and software engineering, and how you have tried to implement those practices in previous roles.
Experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services
You are happy working in an Agile delivery environment, interacting directly with other team members and stakeholders on a daily basis.
Self-starter: you are able to translate product requirements into technical solutions, and deliver these with high levels of autonomy whilst staying aligned to stakeholder expectations.
Communication: you are an strong communicator and can interpret technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Innovative: You stay abreast of new functionality and Salesforce releases and proactively look for ways to improve the platform and leverage new functionality.
Accountable: you take ownership of the path to production, and the operational quality of the product.
Delivery focused: you identify and act on opportunities to increase throughput without compromising on quality. You are able to work around temporary impediments and remain productive.
Collaborative: you pro-actively liaise with other teams to set best practice, share knowledge and ensure early identification and resolution of dependencies and impediments.
Quality driven: you understand that quality control starts with you, and are experienced in the tools and techniques used to test quality in an automated CI/CD pipeline.
Thorough: you consider the full-picture, and understand that details can matter.
Calm: you're positive under pressure and happy to take the lead in challenging times.
