WHAT TO EXPECT
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* You will be owning & supporting the SDLC, software development from discovery to deployment in production and support in a cross-functional team,
* Building application using modern Java Script frameworks such as REACT JS,
* Design and build software in line with our modern software engineering and DevSecOps practices including TDD, pair programming, code review and CI/CD; Follow coding standards.
* Ensure software meets levels of quality, automating at every opportunity,
* Participate in workshops to help identify, design and refine user requirements,
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and standards.
* Work with technical and non-technical business stakeholders to understand and implement software features.
* You will form part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process within a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best in class digital solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Extensive Full stack engineering experience with client-side Javascript libraries, JS Frameworks such as REACT JS, Java, Spring Boot or another OO language and ideally strong object-oriented programming skills,
* Experienced advocate for DevOps mindset & practices such as Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming; Following coding standards
* Experience in cloud-native development with special focus in event-driven microservice architecture, API development, RESTful APIs and message queues
* Worked with relational & NoSQL database technologies such as MySQL or MongoDB.
* Quality focussed with experience writing automated unit, integration and acceptance tests
* Built and managed automated CI/CD pipelines for building, testing and deploying your code using Dockers, Kubernetes
The following skills and experience are nice to have:
* Worked in a true DevSecOps culture, owning and feeling responsible for your code in production, including monitoring and observability with tools such as ELK, Prometheus and Grafana
* Experience of working with application security techniques,
* Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure)
