SC Cleared Technical Lead / Solution Architect

Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for Solutions Architect for a 12 Months contract based in Derby/Hybrid.

Purpose of the Role:

The role will be responsible for providing in depth technical guidance and solution designs/reviews on all aspects of the projects scope. You will require in depth knowledge of compute & hosting technologies and operating models, with experience of delivering complex projects. The role will be based in Derby with frequent travel to other locations in the UK i.e., Bristol.

As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for:

• Interpret business requirements to enable and own the design of integrated solutions in accordance with the EA roadmap
• Lead the design of architecture within the Solution Delivery Team for integrated solutions in line with appropriate standards
• Provide leadership and direction on technical aspects of systems development and integration in line with technical strategies, standards etc.
• In Solution designs focus on User Experience and Automation
• Shared ownership for supporting and monitoring the Solutions
• Create and manage relationships with Vendor SA's / EA's
• Provides a deep understanding of relevant solutions within their Solution Delivery Team
• Provides technical and interpersonal leadership to more junior members
• Troubleshoots and debugs solution components (configuration of system components)
• Possesses a detailed appreciation of an industry / Solution family and its business requirements
• Lead business process design discussions with business counterparts
• Managing stakeholders internally and externally

What we require from the candidate:

• Demonstrable IT architecture experience
• Demonstrable service orientated technical leadership
• Demonstrable technical leadership of complex technical and/or professional work activities
• Experience of leading and working in a global business environment and managing distributed teams
• Good business understanding and deep understanding of own specialism(s)
• Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism
• Absorbs technical information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Actively seeks to understand the implications of new technologies and industry developments, communicating the opportunity and impact to the team
• Internally &/or externally recognised as an expert of the business application of the capability
• Internally &/or externally recognised as a trusted advisor on a particular business process/product
• Translates business requirements into functional solutions within the constraints of the enterprise architecture and systems level design
