NOC Manager / Team Lead London to £60k
NOC Manager / Team Lead (Linux ITIL network Monitoring) *Hybrid WfH*. Do you have expertise with NOC Engineering combined with leadership skills? You could be progressing your career in a managerial role at a fast growing digital identification scale-up.
As a NOC Manager / Team Lead you will provide subject matter expertise and leadership to an offshore team of 10-15 direct reports. You'll manage the team and work allocation, be the escalation point for all incidents - network or server related and create concise documentation of all issues, produce statistics and report on network performance to the wider engineering team and business stakeholders. You'll build close, effective working relationships with the team to ensure reliable support of the 24/7 infrastructure.
There's a remote interview / onboarding process and the ability to work from home most of the time, with the caveat that you'll visit the London office around twice a month for team meet-ups.
Requirements:
You have strong experience in a NOC Engineer / Manager position
You have strong line management experience, ideally having managed offshore teams
You have advanced organisation, planning and problem solving abilities
You're collaborative and pragmatic, able to inspire and motivate others
You have an excellent knowledge of Linux and experience with some / all of the following: Helpdesk, Automation tools such as SaltStack, Puppet or Ansible; Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Nagios or Zabbix; Version Control systems e.g. git, SVN; TCP/IP; Virtualisation tools such as VMWare, Xen, Qemu; Cloud technologies such as AWS, OpenStack, GCP or Azure
