Principal ASIC Engineer - Be the first Hardware Engineer in a Global Semiconductor company's new team - Cambridge A leading international semiconductor company are looking for a Principal ASIC Engineer to join, as they grow a hardware team in Cambridge. They are looking for an experienced ASIC Engineer to play an integral role in the growth and development of this new team in the UK. Based just north of Cambridge, and located within walking distance from a train station, this new hardware team is in a great location for a convenient, weekday commute and plenty of fun weekend activities. If you are a Senior/Principal ASIC Engineer with a strong background in low-power wireless Wi-Fi/Bluetooth IC development, and are open to a new challenge, this is an opportunity to join a global company whilst working in a start-up feel environment of a new team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be involved in all key aspects of the design cycle from specification and architecture through to verification, whilst working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful designs. The key skills needed for the Principal ASIC Engineer are:At least 8 years’ experience of RTL/Silicon design.Sound knowledge of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth baseband and protocols.Proficient in Verilog and System Verilog.Experience with bring-up, validation, and debugging of silicon on the lab bench.Able to work in a team environment identifying and resolving schedule and technical issues with team members; team management skills would be an advantage.If you are interested in finding out more, or applying for this position, please contact Lucy Edmondson at IC Resources
