Customer Support Engineer Kingston / WfH to £35k

Customer Support Engineer (Linux SQL TCP/IP Application Support) *Remote / Hybrid WfH*. Do you have a good knowledge of Linux coupled with technical support skills? You could be learning from a talented team of technologists in a relaxed software house environment where you can work from home most of the time.

As a Customer Support Engineer you will provide application support for the core location based services product, used by the emergency services to find people in need of help; remote troubleshooting and problem analysis of systems deployed on to a Linux environment at client sites.

You'll proactively monitor and verify the deployed solutions' and their behaviour; liaising directly with clients and in-country partners. You will operate across the full support cycle from taking support calls from customers' technical teams via phone, email or ticketing systems; reproducing issues or bugs in local environments and creating Jira issue reports. As the role progresses you will have the opportunity to train and become a Linux Systems Administrator if desired.

Following a remote interview process you'll join colleagues in the Kingston office around once a week / fortnight with most of the time work from home.

Requirements:

You have experience in a technical support role

You have a good basic knowledge of Linux, SQL and Networking (e.g. TCP/IP)

You're collaborative and have excellent communication and customer service skills
