Quality Engineer

***This is a permanent position***

My client, a global manufacturing company based in South Somerset are recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer. If you have experience in supplier & customer relationship development & handling quality management systems (MMS) then you could be the engineer that we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

• As SQE, you'll be responsible for;
• Liaising with customers in all aspects of product quality including customer concerns and all reporting.
• All aspects of A.P.Q.P. for products manufactured
• Co-ordinates MMS requirements - desktop audits, systems requirements
• Co-ordinates internal & external system audits
• Point of contact for queries relating to audits, document control and engineering changes
• Conduct supplier audits where appropriate
• Develop suppliers in non-conformance management
• Develop suppliers understanding of quality systems
• Responsible for review of supplier PPAP documentation and subsequent approval

What skills/experience should you have?

• Experience of co-ordinating quality management systems (MMS)
• Supplier engagement experience - auditing/ relationship building
• Visiting customer/ supplier sites
• Excellent communication skills - internally/ externally
