Database Administrator (DBA)

Leicester / Remote Working

£50,000 to £60,000 + Package

Excellent opportunity for a database administrator with PostgreSQL skills to join a strong and stable company going through an exciting period of growth in a varied and interesting role.

Over the past year a lot of companies have struggled due to COVID-19, however though working with a range of key clients worldwide, this organization have gone through rapid growth within their Tech & IT department. Through growth they are adding a DBA to their busy team.

In this role you will join an in-house DBA team, overseeing and maintaining all aspects of the companies database estate - the security, design, deployment, optimisation, and ongoing monitoring, maintenance & support.

The ideal candidate will be a DBA with POSTGRES / SQL experience and strong database skills. First-hand experience of Linux OS (Redhat & Ubuntu) and Windows Server.

The role:

*Part of the DBA team, supporting database operations day to day

*Working with PostgreSQL v9+

*Sometimes using Oracle 12c, MSSQL & MySQL

*Remote working available however, ideally able to come to site once a week

The person:

*An experience Database Administrator / DBA

*Strong Postgres v9+ / SQL / PostgreSQL skills

*A varied database background

*Hands on experience of Linus OS (Redhat & Ubuntu) and Windows Server
