They are the market leading UK based specialist vape and e-cigarette retailer. They currently have over 150 stores across the UK with more store openings on the way. They are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join their growing business.

The Team:

They use every opportunity to deliver incremental improvements, as well as accelerate the business by implementing new technologies. The key to their success is a focus on growing everyone through training, hands-on experience, and project ownership.

The Role:

Technical and creative ownership of their websites; design, build, and maintain them, work seamlessly with their Graphic Designer and the Content Specialist, and build and test API's with their other systems.

Your Skills:

- Proficient in JavaScript, Python, PHP, and SQL

- Able to deliver a "Full stack" implementation, from back-end code & website function to graphical work, delivering a first class user experience

- Work with our supplier partners to build and improve API integrations

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and manage & deliver on a roadmap to achieving the aims of the business

- Continuous Documentation and management of existing documentation, ensuring ease of knowledge transfer

- Creation and maintenance of databases

- Work with outside technical partners to create integrated solutions, embedded or standalone applications, and lead projects

You:

- A positive mindset, an approachable personality, and be adaptable

- Driven, motivated, and have initiative, as there is a high degree of independence within an entrepreneurial climate

- Delivery of large scale web application projects (>3 years)

- Qualification or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering and/or Web Design & Development

- Experience with client-side components and server languages and infrastructure

- Knowledge & experience in web application frameworks and database management systems

- Knowledge & experience in web Security, encryption, and data retention policies

- A problem-solving attitude and attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

- Time management skills, and work with a range of complex tasks towards deadlines
