As the Principal Capital Projects Architect you will provide thought leadership for the IT elements of our Capital Programmes, working closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Business relationship Managers (BRMs) to understand the business goals and create strategies, architecture roadmap, and other artefacts to ensure we meet our business objectives. This role is suitable for Architects with a background in data, networks or other disciplines who have experience engaging in large capital construction projects and are looking for an opportunity to take a leadership role. Just let us know on your application if you wish to work part timeRelocation package available (terms and conditions apply) You will:Understand the current and future business needs of the organisation and determine how these can be best supported by the IT infrastructure.Identify and promote ideas for improvement in the organisation's current and future IT estateDevelop and maintain relationships with senior representatives from the organisation's strategic partners and key suppliers.Lead technology selection and procurement processes as part of our capital building programmes, including the development of business cases and cost estimates.Participate in and support the operation of the IS Architecture Review Board.Support and deliver high quality and timely output to the MOD customer as required.Maintain awareness of industry methods and techniques for IT Architecture in new and refitted facilities and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.Contribute to the development of the Architecture Team, including coaching and mentoring of individuals and tasking of 3rd party resources.Become an expert and lead in the strategy and delivery of IT for Capital Programmes.You will be part of a growing Architecture team which is committed to delivering value for the business through excellence and innovation.
