MEP Building Physics Engineer

This well-established UK wide building consultancy work predominantly in the construction industry providing a variety of building services and engineering consultancy. With number of high- profile clients across the UK they are in a period of growth and expansion with the aim to become a fully comprehensive consultancy covering all building services. They are now looking to develop their Building performance engineering department expertise on a range of building projects across the UK, working in collaboration with their M&E Engineers and wider disciplines.

In this role you will be based in their Manchester office. Your responsibilities will be to support areas that include - Completing projects for Part L compliance, Liaison with design team and statutory authorities, Energy modelling and building simulation and Early design modelling focusing on passive design measures.

An ideal candidate will be proficient in IES VE building simulation software (Model IT, Apache Sim, Vista Pro, MicroFlo, VE Compliance) as well as have credible experience in building physics specifically energy modelling and building simulation. They would also have the ability to take on proactive roles on projects and be able to conclude projects for Part L compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM59/52 Overheating Analysis
