Market leading UK pensions & investments consultancy seeking a Part Qualified Actuarial Consultant to join their Glasgow office.
Company client is working with a market leading life & pensions consultancy in Glasgow seeking a Part Qualified Actuarial Consultant to join their technical Public Sector team.
This is a rare opportunity where the longevity of pensions actuarial work need not be a concern due to working solely with public sector clients looking to maintain their DB pension scheme.
Responsibilities will include preparing actuarial calculations for public sector clients, in particular Administering Authorities to Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Funds and employers who participate in these funds, in respect of valuations, employer accounting and bulk transfers, in addition to liaising with internal and external client teams.
Role requirements:
* Part qualified Pensions Actuary with or someone looking to stop sitting their actuarial exams
* Relevant pensions experience with a strong grounding of legislative framework for UK pension schemes
* A thorough understanding of actuarial and computing techniques used in the valuation of pension benefits
* A vision to develop an actuarial career in a client focused consultancy
