About The Role As a fully regulated business by both the PRA and FCA, establishing and maintaining the appropriate Information Technology financial and value management is critical from business as usual activities through to major change programmes and the transformation portfolio. This is a senior professional role in our Finance and Value team.  The role will support the ‘Senior Manager - CIDO Finance and Value' in the effective financial management of the CIDO function. This role will work closely with Chief Information Digital Officer Senior Management and SME's to undertake cost management and financial planning activities across the function; producing robust Operational and Long Range budgets (Capital and Revenue) and multi-year forecasting.  This role will actively engage with CIDO Senior Management and provide commercial insight, financial risk management, expertise, analysis and challenge.  The role will provide guidance and support on the financial impact of business decisions in line with the Society's Long-term strategic objectives. The role will be responsible for: Production of robust, timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reports Managing and resolving issues, queries and concerns raised by internal and external stakeholders. Continuous improvement by maintaining a view of the emerging needs of the CIDO Department Proactively responding to changing needs to ensure that the Finance and Value team is an enabler to CIDO being an efficient and well-managed department. Championing the definition of ‘Value' within the CIDO Operating Model, the role will work with Product Portfolios, Central Finance and Strategic Planning in the development of robust business cases.  The role will support the Senior Manager CIDO Finance and Value to identify ‘Invest to Save' and ‘Cost Management' initiatives and lead activity to deliver efficiencies through the CIDO Operating Model. Hours: 35 - Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm Hybrid working is choosing the best location for you to carry out your role - this could be in the office or it could be at home. An analytical mind with problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail Professional qualifications or essential experience required:  CCAB/CIMA/ACA or equivalent and working knowledge of accounting principles. Substantial experience of the end-to-end annual fiscal cycle including budget setting, budget monitoring, forecasting, analysis, reporting and period/year end processes. Ideally within a financial sector or IT environment. Demonstrable working knowledge of financial modelling, analysis, evaluation with efficient analytical skills and attention to detail. Financial acumen with the ability to gather and analyse internal and external data from a wide range of sources in order to drive commercial insight. Proven track record of continuous improvement / change management skills. Strong relationship management, confident and credible in front of senior management. Ability to explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial people. Ability to work to tight deadlines within a team environment and demonstrate resilience under pressure. Strong IT skills to include spreadsheet and data manipulation skills; with particular reference to MS Excel.  Knowledge of ERP Accounting systems (preferred). We Value Diversity
