Project Engineer

Full Time / Permanent

£30k-£35k base

Location: Southampton office occasionally / Travel to client site (flexi working available)

Car allowance offered for travel to client site - Hampshire / London

We have been retained as a recruitment partner to a leading managed service provider, who require a Project Engineer to start ASAP to join an existing growing team. This will be a hybrid working role with a mix of remote / time spent on customer site and occasional visit to their offices just on the outskirts of Southampton.

We are looking for someone who is confident and professional with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. You will also be customer and stakeholder focused. This is a high growth and face paced work environment with flexi style working.

As a key member of the Project Team, you will be providing Project Engineering for new and changing services to our customers through exceptional communication, problem solving, technical and customer service skills.

You will need to form a good working relationship with the Project Managers, Project Co-Ordinators, other Project Engineers and Project Consultants, completing tasks and ensuring timely delivery of services.

*Assisting Project Managers, Project Co-Ordinators with updates to the status of your projects within the project portfolio as required

*Delivery of projects following the Project Management Operating Procedure

*Working to the Project Initiation Document and associated project approach documents for your projects to ensure these are delivered as agreed.

*Assisting the Project Managers with Privacy and Risk assessments to minimise issues and their impact to our customers

*Attending project Kick Off, Updates and Closure meetings both with internal and customer stakeholders where required

*Assisting the Project Manager with the remediation of Autotask Incident Management tickets associated with ongoing projects.

*Assisting the Project Manager with the remediation of Autotask Problem Management tickets associated with ongoing projects.

*Attending Lessons Learned meetings with internal stakeholders

*Managing Autotask tickets associated with projects

*Time Recording within relevant Autotask tickets as required by KPI for all Project Engineer tasks both internally and externally

*Creation and maintenance of documentation within ITglue

*Creation of Technical Design documents for your projects

*Creation and updating of high-level and technical project tasks within project management tools in line with project time estimates/Technical Designs

*Managing Risks within the project management lifecycle and reporting any identified risks to the Project Manager

*Assisting the Project Manager with risk mitigation as required

*Managing Changes and Configuration Management in line with customer contracts and Change Approach documents during the delivery of project work

*Assisting with internal projects where required

*Assisting Project Managers with initiating billing milestones, invoiceable actions, registration of licensing, warranties, devices and services.

We are keen to see candidates with a good mix of the following:

1.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role

2.Experienced working in a high availability environment, working on live systems where reliability, uptime and meeting SLA's are crucial

3.Proven customer-centric IT service Delivery experience

4.Demonstrable proficient experience working with at least 2 of the following technologies

a.Office 365

b.Azure

c.Networking

d.Windows Server

e.Storage systems

f.Virtualisation

5.Current MS-365 Fundamentals (MS-900) qualification - desirable

6.Strong Microsoft Office suite skills

7.Advanced problem-solving ability and troubleshooting

8.Excellent organisational skills and time management practices, working well in a team environment

9.Able to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels

10.Good knowledge of IT concepts and architectures

11.Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers

12.Grounded IT experience with a high general technical competence and a good breadth of knowledge

13.Experience in handling customer complaints

14.Be able to analyse issues, investigate, identify causes and implement robust resolutions

15.Taking ownership of issues from reporting through to resolution

16.Proven ability and desire to improve methods of working

17.Extensive experience of configuring and administrating M365 services including Intune, SharePoint, WDS and client technologies up to Windows 10
