Software Engineer (Python, C++)

Leeds - Fully Remote

3 Month Contract

OUTSIDE IR35

£400.00 - £575.00 per day DOE

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join a well-established company operating in the electronic, mechanical and software control engineering space.

This company has been around for over 30 years designing and producing bespoke systems for subsea applications. They also work on developing a number of items for challenging environments, they are experts in understanding how challenging environments affect complex machinery and design effective solutions to overcome this.

In this role you will be responsible for the development of complete software solutions including understanding of desktop control systems for large scale electromechanical assemblies. You will also be responsible for the complete maintenance and updates of legacy Python and C++ systems including migration, upgrading and development of existing software.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with C++ and Python commercially. You will also be experienced with Linux, basic SQL knowledge for database work and an understanding of desktop control systems for large scale electromechanical assemblies. Any knowledge of containerisation (e.g., Docker), TCP/IP networking, Git and Jenkins is advantageous.
