Are you a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with a small civils and groundworks background, looking for their next opportunity to join a fantastic local business? My client is offering the chance to work on a range of interesting projects whilst having excellent opportunities to grow your career with a company on a gradual, steady rise aiming to become a go-to contractor.

This well-established groundworks contractor work on a range of construction projects for a wide array of sectors including; private bespoke housing, car parks, small civils, schools and colleges. The company pride themselves on delivering a high quality service to all clients and have therefore developed long term business relationships. These relationships have continued to increase their workload and they are now looking to bring an ambitious, aspiring Quantity Surveyor to continue keeping good relationships with the clients they already have, as well as help bring in more work. The appointment of the Quantity Surveyor will be done with the intention of providing further structure and progressive growth to the company.

The role will be predominately office based (Southwest Birmingham) with weekly checks on site being done. The Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing projects and completing pricing works including, tenders, subcontractor packages, submitting bids and budgeting, cost management of materials and ensuring projects run to specification and budget on behalf of the client.

This enticing opportunity is perfect for a Quantity Surveyor who is ambitious and looking to either progress further in their early career, or even perhaps apply their unique skillset which has been acquired over a long career. As the Quantity Surveyor will be instilled with lots of responsibility, my client has asked that applicants possess previous experience, as well as a relevant degree (or HND).
