Electronic network Engineer Wireshark Multicast Connectivity  - Investment Banking

Network engineer background with very good understanding and experience of electronic trading low-latency environments and market access

infrastructures

Essential skills:

Excellent knowledge of Cisco network devices

Excellent knowledge of multicast network environments ESSENTIAL 

Excellent knowledge of Wireshark and ability to develop tools to analyse network captures ESSENTIAL 

Scripting (python, Shell) and development skills for administration, monitoring and support tools

Very familiar with Linux OS and Kernel tuning parameters in relation to network connectivity

Project management skills to deliver medium scale projects

The Role:-

Assist Application Production Support (APS) and development teams with the implementation of their new connectivity requirements in

Production and non-production environments; investigate and troubleshoot of connectivity related issues. Regular meetings with network teams to keep track of ongoing requests and be aware of scheduled network changes

Pro-active monitoring of global infrastructures to be able to spot unexpected/incorrect behaviours and report

them to APS, Dev and Infra teams

Ensure that APS teams are aware of scheduled changes within internal network infrastructures

Coordinate and organise changes with external vendors, markets, clients

Inside IR35; Hybrid working. Long term rolling contract
