This client has an exciting project available working on a mission critical platform using the latest, most up to date technologies. The team is responsible for the development of a model driven, highly scalable, high performance event processing framework. This provides low latency access for online processing, and leverages big data technologies for analytic processing. They are also undertaking a multi-year initiative to re-engineer our trade life-cycle management, valuations, and control functions. This includes the data processing pipeline that they operate to compute the firms daily positions and valuations for PNL, accounting and reporting purposes. They also own a number of critical functions within the firm's front-to-back trade flow whilst working closely with business and engineering aligned teams across the firm. The role gives you the opportunity to develop in the direction of building an event processing platform for position management in a distributed and scalable manner. Technlogy stack includes: Java, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Apache Kafka, RESTful web services, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, JUnit, Spring Boot and more.
