My client, One of the UK's leading companies is seeking an IT Business Relationship Consultant where through close business engagement and a deep understanding of their requirements, you are the link between your division and IT. You will be helping to maintain a positive relationship and identifying the needs of both the business and IT. Partner business leaders to advise on, influence and scope business requests for IT demand, coordinating and/or channelling those requests through to the appropriate IT delivery teams in liaison with IT and business stakeholders. The aim is to achieve best value from the IT investment and deliver continually high levels of service to agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead /Deliver short term / one-off business projects and activities outside of the scope of IT infrastructure delivery to the standards and outcomes agreed with the Line Manager.
  • Scope, shape and authorise non-standard requests for IT resource, channelling requests through to the appropriate service teams, whist maintaining oversight.
  • Collaborate with departmental management to identify, shape, plan IT demand to ensure demand does not bypass the IT division standard procedures.
  • Protect the reputation of IT by managing expectations, policing controls, fielding complaints, and directing them to the Service manager responsible.
  • Provide business consultancy services to IT delivery teams, influencing priorities and solution design.
  • Interprets and translates organisational vision and strategy into relevant, stretching targets and actions for their team or area of responsibility.
  • Takes personal responsibility and also holds team accountable for delivering to agreed standards, challenging self and others to rise to challenges and perform to the best of their abilities.
  • Meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Demonstrates an understanding of customers and their issues and ensures they receive a high quality service

Key Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in a commercially focused IT environment
  • Project/Workstream lead experience an advantage
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of IT services businesses and commercial awareness
