Software Engineering Lead Remote / Italy to €100k

Software Engineering Lead (Scala Java Microservices Kotlin) *Remote*. Looking for an impactful and high responsibility role within a hugely successful company? You could be joining a well-known FinTech where you'll utilise your engineering and leadership skills to make your mark on a talented development team.

As a Software Engineering you will be leading 5 engineers within a newly defined team who focus solely on execution trading projects and own some of the company's core trading systems. You will strive to create a high performing engineering team and will provide exceptional line management to help them grow professionally and achieve technical excellence. Some of your duties will include: developing and maintaining non-functional aspects of the trading systems, mentoring team members and guiding their technical careers and defining and improving team processes to optimise efficiency.

The company offices are based in Milan however, you can work remotely anywhere within Europe (Italy ideally). 

Requirements:

A solid software engineering background ideally using Scala (will also accept Java or Kotlin)

Experience as a lead providing line management to a technology team

Good knowledge of Microservices

An understanding of the trading domain

Fluent in English

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
