Backend Software Engineer Java London / WfH to £75k

Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Java REST API SOLID HTTP) *Hybrid WfH / Remote*. Would you like a technically challenging and stimulating role at a fast growing digital identification scale-up in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to learn and continually improve your skillset?

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop backend services and SDKs, delivering high quality systems that are performant and resilient. You'll contribute to cross team projects and input into improvement of processes, tools and architecture. There's an emphasis on code quality using SOLID principles and TDD. You'll be working with a microservices, AWS cloud environment with SpringBoot and Hibernate (you don't need experience with all of this, you can pick new things up on the job).

There's a remote interview / onboarding process and the ability to work from home most of the time, with the caveat that you'll visit the London office around twice a month for team meet-ups.

Requirements:

You're a technologist with a genuine passion for what you do - keen to continually learn and improve in a highly technical environment

You have strong Java design and development skills

You have a good understanding of HTTP and REST API

You have experience with unit / integration testing; source code control tools and performing code reviews

Familiarity with microservices, Cloud (AWS ideally), SpringBoot, Hibernate, Maven, Gradle, Guice

You're collaborative with great communication skills
