Our client is a British Manufacturing company with a global presence. Being in the top 5 defence organisations in the UK, it is engaged in the development, delivery and support of aerospace and defence systems in the air, on land and at sea.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a PDM Pro Project Manager for a 6 Month contract based in Marlow.

Purpose of the Role:

Our client is looking for a Product Data Management (PDM) Pro IT Project Manager, with experience in IT process change rollout.

As a PDM Pro Project Manager you will be responsible for:

• Understands business processes, change process when moving between large IT software (getting rid of current data management software and moving to another kind of data management software), so will need to sign off on IT change. Will need experience of running projects that enabled IT changes to go ahead.
• Running day-to-day meetings.
• Liaising with people to ensure they're doing their tasks to milestones.
• Making sure documents are there for milestones, to enable sign-off.
• Communicate from shop floor guys to senior management.
• General thing they need to do is get organised.
• Setup and rollout of software. Dominic is doing stuff with the resellers, who will be in control of that server to setup the software (sandbox).
• Project Manager will need to drive bookings and times of the testers.
• Lots of background stuff until milestones are in place, but then the role will ramp up to get people to co-operate and do the testing (since the testing won't be part of the day job, so they will need to know who the manager is, and how to book the resource).

What we require from the candidate:

• 5 or more years' experience of rolling out IT changes
• SOLIDWORKS® Product Data Management (PDM) or similar data management software
• Aerospace background is a nice-to-have
• Organisational skills
• Stakeholder management
