Tired of seeing the same developer roles advertised? Want something that is more than just a code-by-numbers job? Then we may have just the position that you are looking for.

Our award-winning digital team are looking for an experienced and creative digital native to join our developer team. This team are responsible for a range of development work across our university's public facing digital platforms and websites. Working closely with visual designers, UX specialists and content designers you will plan, build, and maintain the functionality, components, integrations and templates used to deliver our content.

Although previous work experience is a positive, we are also open to looking at candidates who are taking their first steps on their career ladder. Enhanced technical skills can be taught but enthusiasm and creativity are something we need you to bring.

You will need demonstrable experience in developing in C# .Net, and experience of working with Sitecore CMS would be a bonus but is not essential. (Additional platform training can be provided.) That aside we are also looking for someone with the creative drive to push the boundaries of our technologies and to input into the strategic and creative development of the overall Digital Experience team. You should be confident and able to work with colleagues across teams within the university to support the delivery of their objectives and be able to provide consultative development advice and guidance on multiple projects.

In return you will work in a fast-paced and creatively stimulating environment and to join a nationally recognised digital team who are pushing the sector's boundaries. You will have the flexibility to work with new and emergent technologies and drive technical innovation in support of the university objectives. There is a generous holiday entitlement, and the team operates a relaxed and flexible working environment with an evolving mix of remote and on-campus working.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Dougal Scaife, Head of Digital Experience and Engagement

Closing date: 6th June 2022 (Midnight) Please note that you will not be able to edit or submit a part-completed application form after the closing date.

Please note that all posts close at midnight and the job description and employee specification will no longer be available after the closing date so please download or print now!

Working here means you'll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.

We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.
