The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Data Architect to join our fast-growing team! The successful candidate will join the Data Governance team responsible for collaborating with our main IT stakeholders to drive the development and management of data centric strategic goals. You will work with technology leaders across to provide best practice guidance for data management and data architecture development and optimisation and design data models.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
Develop Data Models: conceptual, logical and physical, and linage to technical glossary
Support in developing and implementing an overall organisational data strategy including data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
Support the architectural implementation of Enterprise Data Catalogue
Lead the development of the architectural process and documentation standards that provide a clear framework for design teams to work within
Champion data architecture and set the standards and ways of working for the data architecture community
Manage integration between Data Catalogue and Data Modelling tools
Manage and govern changes to architectural artifacts
Provide advice to project teams and oversee the management of the full data product life cycle
Have responsibility for making sure that organisations systems are designed in accordance with the data architecture
Manage end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, design the technical architecture, and develop the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution
Define and manage the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organisation
Main requirements:
BSc/MSc in Information Technology or any other related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Architecture or Data Modelling
Ability to build and grow relationships with business and technical stakeholders to advance solution goals
Proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration
Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design, and testing techniques
Experience architecting & implementing data strategy, solutions & governance models
Experience with data architecture views and viewpoint design
Experience in aligning data architecture & strategy across multiple programmes, workstreams and business units
Demonstrable experience using Cloud data technologies to develop enterprise data platforms
Process Automation/Orchestration
Understanding of best practice guidelines, frameworks, and regulations relevant to data security and personal data
Strong underlying technical experience, comfortable working closely with Development, Data Engineering & Data Science functions
Demonstrate Experience across the following domains:
Metadata and Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Reporting & Data/Analytics
Enterprise data modelling
Data Governance
Data Platforms
ETL Tools
