We're building a green field infrastructure environment for Schroders Personal Wealth through a number of strategic transformational initiatives including the provision of a new digital workplace environment.

The Workplace Technology function is responsible for the development and support of infrastructure, colleague environment and collaboration technologies for Schroders Personal Wealth. Key to our success is the new modern digital workplace proposition and we are looking for Infrastructure Developers with varying levels of experience to assist with its development. These engineers will be hands on and will be working as part of an engineering team developing and implementing the components that will make up the overall proposition.

Responsibilities:

Device, Application & Data Management

Collaboration & Unified Comms (Voice, Video, SharePoint, Email)

Office Engineering (Telemetry, Add On management & governance)

Process Automation (Azure Automation and Power Automate)

Active Directory/Identity & Access Mgt

Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IoT)

Networks (WAN, LAN and WiFi)

Could you help make it possible?

As one of our Infrastructure Engineers you will interact with both business colleagues and external suppliers to develop and support infrastructure solutions across the organisation. You will be accountable for the development of solutions to time and quality standards against the requirements of the business.

What would you be doing?

You will contribute towards transforming business requirements and specifications into capabilities and explore the infrastructure delivery options, developing design ideas as you go.

You will participate in cross organisational squads to develop capabilities and gain advocacy for your solutions through building effective working relationships.

It's a truly collaborative set up where you'll get to discuss solutions with business customers, technical subject matter experts and vendors, to agree, develop and deliver solutions.

So what about your Infrastructure skills?

We'd be looking for varying levels of experience across a number of the following areas :

MS365 Product Suite (Previously Office 365 - Including but not limited to MS Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business)

Azure Active Directory

Process Automation, scripting / coding (Including but not limited to PowerShell, PowerApps, GraphAPI, Python)

Experience with the Jira and Confluence toolsets

Experience with CMS systems including a knowledge of HTML

Experience using APIs for data gathering

Beyond the technical elements

A customer focussed ethos to ensure customers receive the service required

Good stakeholder management with the ability to recommend change and contribute towards technical direction

The ability to self-start and organise personal workload

A working knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
